The Story Behind Lanakila

Lanakila is a Hawaiian word that means “victory.” We chose this name not only for its inspiring meaning but also to honor the memory of our grandfather. He was a man full of dreams, hope, and an unwavering belief in the success of his children and grandchildren. His dedication, perseverance, and vision continue to inspire us in everything we do.

Lanakila Spice & Seasoning is a proud brand of Golden Gate Variety Store, a family business that has been serving the community for over 30 years. Our mission is to bring high-quality spices and seasonings as well as bringing oriental food to your kitchen while maintaining the standards of care and integrity our family values were built upon.

We carefully source our products from trusted warehouses and take great pride in repackaging them with attention to cleanliness, freshness, and quality. Every package is prepared with care to ensure that our customers receive products they can trust and enjoy.

At Lanakila, we believe that great food brings people together. Through our spices and seasonings, we hope to inspire delicious meals, meaningful moments, and a lasting tradition of sharing good food with the people you love.

Thank you for being part of our journey and allowing us to bring the spirit of Lanakila—victory, perseverance, and family—into your home.
